Is it really that bad in Dundee??
In Edinburgh anyone wearing a metal t-shirt or dressed like a goth or whatever generally gets funny looks but rarely get started on. In saying that, in Edinburgh there's an entire street just for goths!! As far as dance music having no words, there's almost always some words in the songs, its just that they don't mean anything and are not worth listening to ![]() |

It's not that bad in Dundee.
Obviously not in every case - but 95% of the time if you don't go looking for trouble it won't find you. I've been involved in 2 scraps which were unprovoked in 7 years. Most neds are pussies anyway. Truth be told they're often the one's shitting themselves. However - if you stupidly chose to go into Enigma or something wearing a faded old black Megadeth T shirt or something and you go about being all loud and drawing attention to yourself, then you'd get what you'd expect. Anyway - we've gone off topic so I'll get back to people who don't understand music blaming it for everything. A wise man once said- "Come mothers and fathers Throughout the land And don't criticize What you can't understand Your sons and your daughters Are beyond your command Your old road is Rapidly agin'. Please get out of the new one If you can't lend your hand For the times they are a-changin'"

Dundee's not that bad at all. I've had more trouble in Blair and Alyth than I have ever had in Dundee. Small town 'Big men' acting up for their mates. It doesn't really matter what music you listen to, or what culture you come from there will be good and bad people everywhere.
On the point in question, if a child can listen to a record then go out and feel the need to kill, there has to be a problem within the home and maybe the parents should take some blame. If by the age of 8 you don't know that killing is wrong then there's a problem, simple as. Also the government is looking at this the wrong way, it's not wanting a gun that's the biggest problem. It's the fact that kids know where to get the gun that has to be a bigger worry! |
