i dont think it'll matter too much that there are three different sites, although i find it a bit confusion that one of the other sites is just using the undergroundscene's news section (i know kj said it was fine, i just dont get the point of doing it).
both the other sites i think will be likely to focus more on clubnights rather than gigs & bands, although i know both the other nights want to have band info on it. in all i think it can only be of benefit to have more sites, so long as the info provided isn't identical, also i'm sure there are folk that use this site that wont use the others, and vice versa. also.....(final point) i know UGS focuses on this area the most, but it is meant to be a national thing isn't it? whereas the other two sites are deticated solely to dundee. more sites = more exposure = bands only benefitting |

oh aye. the kerosene one is a bit fukt up, half of it dint work. the alt.dundee one looks like a sub-section of undergroundscene. I'd recommend offering these guys (alt.dundee) to merge their site in2 this 1. U would benefit from having the dundee club scene covered, and they would benefit from more exposure as this site keeps growing.
Im away 2 get pished now and watch segaboy and pen15 ![]() |

just looks like they are both capitalizing on UGscenes growing popularity. be interesting to see if they rip KJ and the rest of us off or not. agreed it would benefit the bands to have more exposure to Dundee. If anybody gives a fuck or not is another question, i really hope they do. coz we are showing promise, lots of it <img border="0" alt="[Eek]" title="" src="graemlins/eek.gif" />

Yeah but the actual site uses the same colours, fonts and table design, all these alternative sites are become a paradox in themselves in that they are all look the same. I'm all for 3 sites, means more people are likely to hear about bands but just imagine if there were 3 weekly mags in the uk one called kerrang!, on called Korrang! and one called kerrching!. It would all get confusing esspecially if they all used roughly the same artwork and typesetting stylesheets. So what I'm saying is we should have a blue one, a grey one and a yellow one that way we all know what site we're looking at. Otherwise we may all get confused and dissorientated and suddenly the alternative scene will become an acid jazz scene!
