the allegation is actually that Fawcett - Charlies bumchum as it were raped the guy George Smith, not Charlie himself.

And I think its more that those who support the Royals the most would be shocked/offended by this than anything else. Not to mention the whole Future leader of the Church of England which is now in the process of a huge split over a gay bishop, what would happen if Plug was head of it and their "Pope" figure direct choice of God etc.
