Hammas and 14 yo Suicide bomber

i saw probably the most shocking thing on TV tonight, the 14 year old Palestinian boy who was payed £13 by Hammas militants to become a suicide bomber, even though he did not want to die.

The images on the TV were brilliant in the journalistic sense, but also harrowing to see this child surrounded by dozens of military personel. They disarmed him by sending a bomb disposal robot to him with a pair of scissors so that he could cut the bomb belt off himself.

Did anyone else watch this?

yer.. it was good journalism... i mean you dont often get to see a situation like that so the insight was ace...

though the Israelis did take him out of the van afterwards and make him stand in the spot that he was in before for a photoshoot afterwards... that was wrong...

i hope he is ok...

as disgraceful as it is it just hows how fucked up both sides have descended to.

Hamas pay children to blow themselves up whilst Israel pays American for missiles to launch at targets killing children as bystanders and calling them collatoral damage.

Will seeing this image stop the IDF knocking down houses with OAP's and children in them?

Will it stop people funding Hamas and other terrorist groups?

I think we all know the answer to that,Sharon will still carry on his ethnic cleansing and settlement building trying to completely secure Israel so they can rebuild the temple on the mount and signal the apocalypse ( )and the Palestinian leadership will plot attacks on civilians.

And every day kids like that boy will get killed by both sides whilst our governments fund one side and only listen to their side of the story.

And they think that will stop it?

That's an interesting viewpoint, I have heard similar things from religious leaders who have expressed concern over this issue also. Although, I suppose you are basing it on common sense Alan, being that we all know the Jews and Muslims are just waiting to oblitereate each other? This is, of course, the perfect reason!

no Im basing it on the fact that theres a room in Israel filled with the articles needed to fulfill the prophesy of the coming of the messiah once the temple mount is rebuilt and the anti christ rises to power. That is if you believe the Jewish teachings. The fact that George Bush also is one of the "rapture ready" people who thinks there will be the apocalypse in his lifetime just adds to the scariness of nutballs like him and Sharon being in power.
