Baber Ahmad was arrested as part of Blunketts terror raids in Tooting south london.

Baber was found to have over 40 injuries and he suffered renal contusion and head injuries. There was blood in his urine and he may have suffered fractured skull...

these are things people die of.

im a bit worried this is happening in our nice country

Seeing as this debate seems to have been about speculation, further conjecture seems a little unwarranted. I think the point being made is that in a supposedly democratic society, SUSPECTS being subjected to violence is something that we should be angry about, and allegations into said violence should be serioulsy looked at. To entirely dismiss a claim based on its source is the kind of scepticism and narrow mindedness that we should all try to avoid.

the fact is that there is not a large terrorist threat agaisnt the UK and if the small threat there is has been created by us. its because of the right wing defensive/offensive policy that our government has internationally at the moment.... beating up a bunch of innocent Asians in London certainly is not helping this... the fact is that terrorism isnt much of a threat at all...... this is what i was referring to when i said "get yr. noses out of the sun"

and plus wtf! if you treat people like shit for years and years and years and go round the world exploiting people and treating people like 2nd class citizens then no wonder sometimes a few of them are gonna get pissed off. i dont blame people for turning to terrorism at all. especially not in countries like afghanistan where people had no political say for years and years. i think if i had been subjected to the treatment that people in 80% of the world to get subjected to by the 20% rich then id wanna do something about it. the fact is we have reduced these people to this. and we have to deal with the consequences. nobody becomes a suicide bomber for a laugh.... they do it because of opression and as a reaction against something. if we really want to stop terriorism perhaps its that global inequality we should change.
