Michael Moore booed at Republican National Convention
See Michael Moore was at the convention last night in NYC and was booed and heckled by the crowds of republican supporters and then targetted in John McCain's speech.

McCain continued "...disingenuous filmmaker who would have us believe that Saddam's Iraq was an oasis of peace when, in fact, it was a place of indescribable cruelty, torture chambers, mass graves, and prisons that destroyed the lives of the small children held inside their walls." Also, at the bottom right of the story on the link that KJ gave us, you can sign up for email alerts with stories on Michael Moore (as you probably can for most individuals and topics), which is pretty cool. |

... 4 years isn't that long.... I mean... I guess. <sigh>
You've gotta remember: the US is "A nation of courage". How touching. I don't think Bush will last the four years... the enviroment will implode before his second term ends, in a massive explosion of oil and 'nuculer' power. I was at Sonic Youth last night, and like every gig I've been to involving an american band recently, they were totally anti-bush. Does the opinion of role models count for nothing these days? How come with such massive public opposition to the gaj is still doing so well in the polls? What a fanny. |

I was thinking last night about the whole "vote Kerry cos hes better than Bush" strategy.
Has no one realised that if Kerry wins then Bush can still stand against him in 4 years time? So I suppose everyone will have to vote for the Democrats again then, and again in 4 years etc. |
