Of course, you are right. But the bastard is actually trying to find somewhere that fits. I was almost on the verge of joining the SSP, but... well... you know.
The reason that there is no strong socialist group is that there is so much disunity within the left; this is an excuse by New Labour for being more <ahem> "moderate".
Anyone fancy forming a progressive socialist pressure group?

Socialism sucks. I used to support the SSP but no longer.

I now support the greens, because they have all the strengths of the SSP but without the communist values.

what is communist about the ssp?

please... if you are going to make brash generalisations please back them up.

(im not in the ssp. i was. but i got fed up...with some of the policies and with the lack of stregnth within the party) but i really dont see what is communist

They practically forced everyone at their little movie presentation to make a donation. I was one of the few who didn't. Scheming bastards never mentioned fuck all about donations beforehand...funny that...

erm what movie presentation? I dont know of any SSP event that anyone is forced into handing over dosh, even at branches people put in what they can afford to pay for the hire of meeting rooms and if theres a shortfall its made up from the campaign fund.

p.m. me if you dont want to post details

there was a recent movie event that the event runners tried to get people to pay for the room but if this is the one I think you are referring to it was not organised by the SSP, but the RCG
