£40,000 to design that! fuck sake, and the money has gone to England. No offence to the english members on the site but why doesnt a scottish event deserve to have work commission to a scottish designer.. even if it is the G8 summit?

It was pretty fecked up to spend £40k on a picture. I bet they could have ran a competition for it and got a much better design for less money. Even if comp costs more to run surely it would be worth it?

Cos they're the bloody Scottish Government, so they go and pay English people to make their design so that the scottish designers don't get the 40K. I'd say the same If they'd used an Indian company.
