Scottish Parliament Opening
I just saw a bit of this on the telly, got my first proper look at the building and i gotta agree with most people, it looks horrible.

I also heard a guy saying something just after the queen came in. I'm not sure exactly what he said cos i think they forgot to turn his microphone on. But I'm sure he said something about gaelic being the first language of Scotland. That's not true is it?

Whatever happened to a normal building? not something that George Lucas would not use.

Makes the Millenium Dome look like a good spend.

Yeah, I hear that we are only allowed to fly the Saltire on 7 days of the year. However, 98.3% of The Sun readers voted that we should be allowed to today. They even showed us a never-before-seen side to their journalisic talents by getting one of their Page 3 girls to get in the buff and wrap herself in the Scottish flag. If that's not patriotism then I don't know what is!

When they were first talking about this building they kept saying that it would be a "very impressive building" then comparing the design to "upturned boats" . Seriously. What the fuck?
i thought "man, thats gonna be shit"
Nice to be proved wrong tho isnt it?

I really dont see the point of housing the parliament in a "cutting edge design". Its pointless. In twenty years its gonna look even more stupid and shit than it does already.
