So they kidnap some1, then kill them, wtf. They think there big men or summit, killing people who are tied up and blindfolded, as heaven forbid they see the person look at them with cold piercing eyes that would haunt them.

It's not as cut and dry as that though is it? They see these people as traitors, and as having committed treason by supporting what they see as a puppet government which is an insult to the sovereignty of Iraq.


Of course beheadings are ridiculous and horrible and extremely cruel methods of execution, but you can still be executed in the U.S for treason. That wasn't really the point I was making, I was just commenting on how ludicrous this is now and wondering where it's going to end.

which isnt any different from bombing from a distance when you look at it.

The reason I think for the beheadings is we are so desensitised to violence and especially gun-murders due to TV that we are underexposed to the horror of this "old" type of killing. Using the internet to broadcast the video of it drives it home even more:

"old fashioned" type of killing shown using the most recent technology available.

Absolutely effective at what its intent is: to shock and awe (for this threads second pun)
