Post-election Predictions

Seems like most everyone on this forum agress that Bush is a twit.

So predictions on the next four years?

I'm predicting a total ban on Same-sex marriage, a deficit of such numbers it's unimaginable and even more involved conflict in the middle east.

But that's mild, right? What do y'all think will happen?

Bush is gonna FREE DA WEED.

Nah, massive deficits and more propoganda about terrorism, probably some situation with N Korea.

the relacement of the oldest/ailing members of the supreme court resulting in:

attempts to ban gay marriage through constitution
extention of the death penalty
attemps to remove the right of abortion so its mish mashed in each different state

at least 1 more war (Iran or Syria seem most likely at this point)
PATRIOT Act 2 or similar to further curb individual rights
ammendment to constitution to allow non-US born citizens run for president, possibly saying you have to have served the government/army for X amount of years (for Arnie who would gain cross party support)
A continuing rise in the HIV rate amongst poor African nations due to his 2nd century beliefs to do with contraception.

Ka-Boom!

Gonna be pretty much same again. Running the country dreadfully using the "war on terrorism" to cover it up. Sadly people fall for this obvious guise, well 51% if them.

Oh and America will have a huge terrorist attack on them from a new group formed because of the recent wars.

No they wouldn't. They've only got limited nuclear capability.

Still, having one or two cities in Florida destroyed, wouldn't do much for the government's popularity.

Yah, but the DPRK has a very large military, regardless of how good its nukes are.

Does anyone remember Duke Nukem? I loved that game.

Ahh right, I misread what you said to mean, that they'd kick the US's arse on their own home turf, rather than being turning North Korea into a blood bath.

Yeah I had the demo for Duke Nukem, class game for its time.

they could do so being in a state of peace with them they are technically still in conflict.

The figures normally bandied about are that the N Korean army can overrun Seoul in 25minutes due to close proximity and weapons trained on S Koreas capital. America also has a large number of troops there which are under a slow process of being withdrawn just now (to aid Iraq?).

If the US attacked North Korea, wether or not America would be ok is irrelevent S Korea would be annihalated and the massive amount of US civilians and military there would be too.
