11th hour, 11th day, 11th month
Once again the day is upon us, the day to respect the great men how have fought and died for us, in many, many wars, including the one we are in the midst of now. Men any women of a once great and powerful national, who we all respect and honour on this sad day.
Two minute silence at 11 o'clock. |

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below. We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie, In Flanders fields. Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields. My dedication to the brave folk we will not forget. Are thoughts for you, on this memorable day, The men and women who fought that day, Who did not hide nor run away, Just stood their ground, to save this place. A home to many, the land we live, But threatened by a foe so big, The population would not stand, To be invaded upon their land. Picked up their weapons and signed up that day, They would fight for this land, this place, So many however would not return, To a heroes welcome, this victories place. So for the people who did not return, We hang our head, and pray this day, Thank them for the brave deeds they did, They gave their live so we could live.
