This is the dumbest thing ive ever heard!!

CBS NEWS SITE

"After Idalia and Jose Moran's son was born by C-section, Idalia Moran's doctor advised her not to get pregnant again for two to three years, and prescribed the pill.

CBS News Correspondent Byron Pitts reports when she went to the pharmacy, the cashier said, "You know what? I cannot refill them because the pharmacist says it's against his religion because it's abortion.""

WTF??!!

Aparently there have been a number of cases like this reported.

What ever happened to professionalism?? Anyway, its his choice i guess. She can go somewhere else.

not always, I saw a story the other day of a 16year old couple, the pregnant girl was hit repeatedly in the stomach with a baseball bat to deliberately miscarry because the state required parents to authorise abortions and they were in bible belt country.

there are lots of little small towns with only one pharmacy

So health centres should stock them. You cant force pharmacists to stock the stuff, but they really should.

it seems to me that these creationists are being highly ignorant of other peoples beliefs or non-beliefs. people should have a choice, but when choices are taken out of peoples hands like that 16 year old girl, it leads them to do desperate things, with sometimes tragic consequences. i know they don't belive in abortion out of respect for life, but not allowing it can have far worse effects
