I'd like to believe that what ever created us all watches over us and that there is a heaven, But thats about as religious as I am. I think religion in the wrong hands can cause a lot of problems.

I think the world would be a happier place withlout religion of any sort. I am a total aethiest but i can't help saying "god sake" "jesus christ" blah blah blah etc.. when i'm pissed off. But the idea of a "God" seams like a load of ballocks these days!? I always wonder how we were put on this bloody thing we call earth and all i can say is Science. Theres so much that we yet don't even know about this planet, i think saying that a "god created everything" is a joke and lazy.

If the universe is everything then it can be defind, there is no limit to everything. Interesting idea man, but it's all conjecture though. All i meant was that it's a missapproriation of the word- semantically i'd say its impossible to have more than one universe- but your just using the word in a different context, so it's cool, no argument to be had i think.

ally u say its impossible to have more than one universe. but what realy is a universe? its a word that the human race made up cos they dont have the equipment to see further than they can see. to be honest it was man who came up with the word "universe" so they can probaly alter its meaning a bit. i think iv gone far far away from the point now.

Hmm, tbat's the thing man- i'm not talking abouit what there is or isn't, more the meaning of the word universe. Here's what the oxford concise dictionary has to say about it : Universe: everything that exist; the whole of creation.

Yeah, obviously i've heard of the term, it'd pretty fashionable- it's a corruption of the metaphyiscal 'many worlds' idea. All i'm saying is that using the word 'universe' in this way is a misapplication. This is a pretty sad argument though, i feel like a prat fot turning an interesting thread into this.

I dont believe in God, I believe life is in peoples hands and they should be responcable for their own actions, not useing any religions to justify their cause. its cliched but 'no gods - no masters'

wot confuse's me is that adam & eve, first human beings on earth, wot about cavemen, they werent created by god, he created monkey's with some sort of wrong ingredient 2 have an effect of turnin'em in2 human, so uh, wots goin on, & if he created cavemen, y no make them as human as adam & eve?

I'm not a very religious person but i know enough to know that the stories in the Bible aren't always ment to be taken literally. I can't explain the meaning of the Adam and Eve story but I do know that every religion needs some sort of creation story.

Anyway, what i find funny is that the Bible only talks about God creating the planets in our solar system, so what about the billions of other solar systems out there? Do they each have there own God? I wonder if they compete against each other in Galactic Wars? Now that would be cool
