Manhunt

I've been playin Manhunt for a few weeks now and dont think it should be banned anywhere, its only a computer game. Fair enough it does have its moments of violence which can be pretty gruesome but its nothing to write home about! If people are playing it and finding it offensive or "evil" then they should turn it off and not try to have it banned so nobody else can enjoy it.

what do you think?

Also, did anyone else here how Rockstar North where sued by Haitians because of the level of GTA : Vice City called "Kill the Haitians". I mean, the name of the level is just in the senario of the level in the game, its not like thats gonna make people wanna kill haitians!

I agree. Censorship pisses me off.

There's no conclusive proof that video games cause normal people to kill. For every study that claims they do, there's another that claims they don't. If your sense of morals is so skewed that you'd kill someone because you saw something in a computer game, then the video game really wasn't the problem in the first place.

Yeah the vice city thing is also kind of ridiculous, especially when you consider that it was made in Edinburgh. Yeah, I bet there's loads of anti-haitian racism in Edinburgh, what with the high population of haitians there and all

ermmm clintons wife....did ages....when the kids in skool got shot....she blaimed it on rock music and marilyn manson

who's banning manhunt? I saw it on a shop shelf in dundee a couple weeks ago. It never got banned, some people just chose to take it off their shelves since some guy got smashed to death with a claw hammer.

It never got banned, some shops just stopped selling it

And GTA:VC got "altered" slightly after that sueing

I dont think the games should be banned, the parents bought it for people who werent old enough to play it, then the guy killed his mate with a claw hammer, not something wrong there in the first place? apparently not . . .

lol, i wrote a big big essay on music censorship last year, practically swallowing a book in the process. it's interesting stuff. i wrote an essay on tv censorship a school as well, the main jist of which was "tv copies reality, not vice versa".

am i right in thinking manhunt is 18+ anyway?
