From experience I'm not fat and well I have a degree and good qualitifactions so i cant be that stupid. I'll admit to laziness but I became lazy when my school told me i'll never achieve what i want.

Personally I think computer games keep getting an unfair bad image from the media. Its just like films when they started. They were "contraversial" but nowadays acceptable and exactly the same is happening with games (imo).

I'd also like to add that if the people who conduct these surverys and the parents who fret about them spent more time with their kids there wouldn't be an issue in the first place.

my good friend lee or 'deathstalker' on these pages plays games non stop. he plays WoW and Counterstrike all the time. He is definately not fat, he is not lazy at all, he is a hard working productive fellow and he is not stupid as he is always on hand to help out with any technical difficulties i have.

That's a pathetic and misleading piece of reporting. The headline screams "Computer games 'make for fat, stupid, lazy kids'", yet quite clearly the story itself states that the study was into the harmful effects of computer games AND television. Very poor stuff.

Well I must say I'm in the same boat as Develion and Downie's mate.

I play games for about 35-50 hours a week and have played a lot of games for as long as i can remember. I'm definitely not fat or stupid and I'm not excessively lazy either.

I wonder if someone could do a study like this with another form of media such as books and get the article published.

and doing a BSc in Maths - must be stupid.
Aggresive - I've never been in a fight
Socially Inept - been with my girlfriend 4 1/2 years.

So... yeah, It always true, Computers make you fat, lazy, stupid, aggressive and socially inept.
