Agreed, but what they are trying to do is ban any imagery that could look as though it could be non-consensual (though isn't) so that means images of people tied up, blindfolded, gagged etc. Even if you download an image on their list accidently, you could still wind up in jail for 3 years and put on the sex offenders register for LIFE! This is an infringement of human rights and one step closer to Britain becoming a nanny state!

That's especially worrying, considering that tying up is something that many couples do consensually for a bit of fun. I wouldn't even consider it to be all that kinky, and it's kind of worrying that something like that could be considered violent porn.

I'd say that it's not even in the same ballpark as something like simulated rape.

fair enough about the kiddie porn, i didnt read the site as i was at work but i just think that clamping down on violent sex acts on the net cant be a bad thing so i wont be participating. it doesnt put me up nor down as i dont get my kicks out of stuff like that anyway.

I really don't get it.

Last I heard prisons were already overcrowded, this is why there are so many known offenders free to walk the streets. How about they actually start filling prisons with real rapists and leave alone the people who want to sit home alone and jack off to the staged rape.

weird, I just tried to post and I think it went missing....odd. Very.

Anyway, I wonder how they'd do it, cos I'm pretty sure I remember something about a case and the sentance was reduced as it was computer generated art, and not a physical person involoved.

Also any controversial art house film with sexual content would come under fire. I saw a film on channel 4 late thurs. night called war zone or the war zone, pretty sure it'd be banned.

And I really doubt they'd get the intended culprits, there's still huge paedophile rings, and gangs living off the money made from prostituting teenage girls, illegally smuggled in from Eastern Europe...

They're just trying to get moral panic, so the law will have some backing, even then they'll just be skimming the top, they'll catch some unemployed 22year old beating off to some bad porn... it'll make headlines and be all 'violence in society' how it no longer affects us as its so commonly seen. They never get who they aim for. Nevertheless I may study into it a little more, as i have to do a case study on moral panic theory. (convenient)

i wish it were that simple, these laws have already been passed in the U.S and people have already been prosecuted. Just look at Suicide Girls, lots of the girls photosets have been pulled already!

When this law was first told to me, i was worried that 4/5ths of my porn collection would have to go, but thankfully it is not that deep.
It seems to go no deeper than simulated rape. Which is fair enough i s'pose.
although it does seem to be adopting a position against knifey bondage, which is a shame cos apparently that is really rather cool, but people can still do it at home.

I can agree with ACTUAL rape and sex slavery (there is something i don't wish to see again) being banned
But consensual stuff is cool, i have heard of at least three girls who got off on the idea of rape (there bfs however felt dirty and creeped out afterwards, as you would.) and consensual slavery is a fundamental part of the bondage scene.

I would like to make a point. that anything icky i have downloaded has been accidental, damn searching for variety *shakes fist at icky stuff*

Although, now i would think about it, it would be easier to amend the laws banning slavery and rape to make the required stuff illegal (although it must be pornographic stuff, as illustrations in educational textbooks really shouldnt be banned.
