With all his money though he was able to get a very very good defense lawyer though surely? An average joe wouldnt have that advantage?

aye he is built into a monster, however I'm very strongly against drink/drug driving and think it should be heavily punished. Not a slap on wrist and community service. Most other junkies would get locked up right?

My mate got a similar sentence of 12 months community service and had to undertake a drink driving course when he was caught drink driving. He was in the wrong and he realises how stuiped he was now but it just goes to show how lightly Doherty was let off.

He definitely got off lighter than other people doing the same.
