teacher suspended in america for criticising Bush

So yeah, a geography teacher in America has been forced on paid leave after a pupil recorded him comparing george W bush to one Adolf Hitler...

"Sounds like a lot of the things that Adolf Hitler used to say. We're the only ones who are right, everyone else is backward and our job is to conquor the world" was Jay Bennish little rant. he also stated that the US is probably the most violant nationon Earth and had committed over 7000 'terrorist sabotage acts' on Cuba alone. he also told pubils they were free to disagree with him.

The pupil that recorded his speech was one of a growing number of American children from right wing families who are concerned with the education systems growing left wing tendancies and was told by his father to record any slanderous or anti-american comments by his teachers. The recording was then played on a local radio station and soon had national coverage across america.

Anybody else thing this is taking things a weeeee bit too far? The school board want to investigate to prosecute him for not providing a 'balanced view' but it seems to me that in being one of few teachers with the stones to criticise america he has provided a 'balanced view' that has been sorely lacking since before the September 11 bombings.

Anyone else agree, disagree, give a flying fuck?
