Trouble In Israel
The war in Iraq has been overshadowing the troubles in Israel/Palestine, but that doesnt mean its not going on. apparanlt last week there were some Palestinian suicide bombings but the News networks have been told "not to mention suicide attacks in Israel during war". Earlier in the week an Israeli soldier shot a peace protestor in the face (now in critical condition) from close range after speaking to him for ten minutes and he had his hands raised the whole time. Todays news is Israeli Terrorist Group attack Palestinian School

any idea what the Isreali president was meaning by giving 'painful concesions' in order to find a peaceful solution to the crisis in the middle east? i think both sides are pretty stuborn and with the Palestinians getting a new prime minister and Isreal willing to talk, lets hope its a good sign.

i think the concessions were to stop building the illegal settlements in the west bank. The settlements condemned by the UN and they were called to stop building in 1968?? Major step towards peace
I think the only concession Arafat would accept is a return to the originally agreed borders. |
