more importantly its not the version that birds have, humans can catch, was caught by a human who also had a strain of human flu which then passes genes between them to create a super strain that doesnt exist yet.

Well...if we are al going to die at least the price of chicken is gona go down.

Seriously though, there is very little chance any humans will catch it in Britain although i am prepared to reverse that statement when i get respitory failure n hack up blood coz of avian flu.

Yeah, humans can catch it, but it's not particularly easy to do so. So unless you're playing with dead birds, you've got nowt to worry about, until it mutates.

The media love a scre don't they. I'd bet this years flu has killed more people around the globe than any muted avian flu but it's not news is it. And why is it they refer to avian flu with a scary classification number?

When was the last time anyone in the news reported that "30 people have died this year of H1N1"? Never they always just call it flu.

But as soon as a bird dies out comes the scary number H5N1.
