If I can prove to you that the Bible cannot have all been written by God then you HAVE to admit that Christianity is (in part at least) made up. Oh, and as for Slavery, dont be a historicaly naive. Slavery has existed in the world for as long as any of the recorded history and probably longer. Infact, its only been a very very recent development in human existance that it has had mass abolishment. Bad example.

You asked me earlier what i would do for someone wnating to know more about christianity? I said i'd recommend they go read a bible. As a starting point. The bible has been rewritten so many times very few people will have ever read the original testaments. More to the point, there were indeed many 'testements' of the accepted bible that never made it in. The early church being hunted into extinction and all that jazz, much of it was destroyed, much more put aside by people with their own political aims.

Blind faith; belief through arrogence/ignorance it may be, but a shit lot of people; and by no means are they all fucktard redneck hicks as you try so damn hard to make them out to be, believe in it.
As for me. Yeah i guess im one of those people who pick and choose what they want to take from a bible i know to be flawed.
Mainly this involves my belief that there is good and evil in the world with both malevolant and benevolant forces encouraging them. Why? Duno, random hunch most likely. or maybe its still just a way to explain things i dont understand.

Still think it makes me a better, nicer person though, as opposed to someone who will argue with people they have never met because they disagree with what they think.
