i'm sure more of you have noticed the amount of fatalities in recent weeks both on the America, British and Iraqi sides. My question to you therefore is this...
do you really think the Iraqi war is over? Bush said so, but i dont recall Blair saying anything like that. Are we reaching a new phase of conflict? Recent reports suggest that the resistance is organised. Could we be seeing a classic case of insurgency among Iraqi dissidents and the remnants of the followers of Saddam Hussien? lemme know what you think.

nope!
you would have thought that the usa would have learnt their lesson after Nam,but no they have their heads so far up thier bums that they cant hear the rest of the worlds views. The quickest war without reason! they should be taken to court etc.... They think they can "police" the globe, but in reality they cant even do it in their own country! The whole country is motivated by "Fear" And at the top is a nob who is clueless as Ronald Ragen, with his finger on the button. |

exactly, the whole fear thing is best summed up in bowling for columbine.
the war can never fully end because america have just butted into a country and taken it over, obviously not everyone is going to be happy about that. now what? they will open mcdonalds and other such corporations in iraq and try to amercanise a 3rd world country. iraq needed to evolve on its own, america just wants to kill all cultures because without them there would be nothing to challenge the american way. eventually the world will be one big america and instead of countrys there will be territorys owned by different businesses. i especially lke how american has 'nuclear weapons' and iraq have 'weapons of mass destruction' |

i suggest everyone watches bowling for columbine, because whether you believe it or not, michael moore puts forward some very good arguments as to why america is the way it is...

i cant believe he said that. What an idiot. He's just trying to incite more problems. The dude just doesnt get it. His soldiers are dying every day while he is in a cushy office.... 'bring it on' he's saying. Its all fine that hes not the one thats got to watch out for the snipers.
Now that the war has been and gone, the only thing left is to rebuild.... not continue the conflict more than it has to be. The guy needs to get some new advisers.

em... i didnt actually mean to get onto this..but now im here i might as well have my say.
my mum went to iraq (shes a soldier nurse). she was away for three months and will probably get sent back in six months. thats what she was told anyway. so if she is going back, the war cant be over, can it? |

[edit] now I've secured the 1000th post slot, I can actually make a half-worthwhile contribution. my mum's partner, he's in the RAF, and he got sent out to Jordan before the whole Iraq thing kicked off. after about 4 weeks, it transpired that he was sent to completely the wrong place, and he was sent back home, where he has been throughout the entire Iraq situation.

who would destroy the military? would we have to command them to destroy themselves? I suppose that way, they'd either do it, like shoot themselves, or not do it, mutiny, which in effect is destroying the military. |

So I was listening to this guy on sunday, and he was talking about some riots in greece. There were just these crowds of people, hoardes just running straight at the riot police. And I was thinking to myself, if you MUST resort to violence, why not do it properly? There's no point in rushing head-on into a well equipped militia, because you will be destroyed. This point has been proved many times in the past. What the activists need is some sort of leader, a strategist.
In conclusion, WE will destroy the military. And capitalism. And everything else. But not until we organise. That was kinda off-topic. the war in Iraq is over, yes, but American occupation of Iraq will never be tolerated |
