Compulsary ID cards are on their way! - Page 2

I really am not liking this whole idea of having to pay 40 squid for a stupid what would be compulsory id card. And having fingerprints or something to identify you correctly? Jeez, what happened to a good old photo eh? do they want us to feel like robots or something?!

I hope this idea is not followed through.

I hope it is! And I hope your religious and political stance is included on it. And I hope your criminal record is on the back, along with the nationalities of both your parents. And if you don't have two parents, then you're not allowed an ID card, but you can still be IDed by policemen and battered when you don't have it. And I hope they put GPS chips and microphones in them as well

It will cost £3 billion to implement. But as part of the justification for it, it will "save £1billion a year from the NHS on false asylum seekers misusing it", so if your arguement against is *purely* that you dont want to pay for it, it will pay for itself in 3 years if the government stumps up the cash. That is assuming this research theyve done is true and not just a phony reason thrown in to try and get us to blindly follow it...

In fact, I hope it has a barcode that the cops can scan, which downloads every single piece of information on your life onto their PDA. And then, I hope I get sent to jail for ten years for killing the first bastard that tries to ID me
