Monrovia / Nigerian Peace Forces arrive

well, finally some help is coming to the the war ravaged Liberia. 1500 Peace keeping troops arrived, and from the looks of em, i doubt anyone is gonna want to mess with them.

Hopefully this calms the situation down, however, President Taylor has now gone 3 days over his deadline which he said he would step down from power by, but its not looking promising, especially since its happened before.

Yeah, he was on newsnight the other week blaming everyone but himself for his failure to send troops when he promised he would. I dunno whats more shocking, whats happenning there or the speed that the international community is sending help.

yeah, i'm pretty shocked. I think the Americans have a battle ship off the coast of Liberia, but the troops are still on board. On top of that 1500 peace keeping troops just isnt enough, especially when you consider the fact that the war is being fought on so many seperate fronts, how can they distribute so few peace keeper over so large an area.
