ok, so all the negative feedback on the site is starting to hurt a little. So here is what i'll do. I'm gonna close those other threads and leave this one as a place for you guys to tell me what i'm doing wrong and what i should be doing. Give me your suggestions for running the site a bit better than the way it is and tell me what you guys propose to do to help the site grow more and more.

i think a lot of people thought the site was doing fine without the heavy moderation. the spam in the lounge has gone down with bollocks being reintroduced.

but i never thought there was a problem in the first place, then things started to happen.

Personally, I think in some ways the site should be more laid back, I mean yeah, moan at those who make remarks that are offensive etc, but to then go and ban someone who posts in the wrong section? That's harsh, espcially when bollocks and the lounge are both full of well.....shit.

It's meant to be fun posting, and it should be.

I don't know who this new mod is, but the others have been posting for so long, they know the "regulars" on here better, and what to expect from them, so they can tell whether they are being out of line or not.

And I don't think that thread should always be closed with the mod having the final say, yeah sometimes topics go off track, but the conversation is moving on...just because a mod disagrees with the points etc, that's no real reason to go and close it, and "thats that"

And yeah, people post shit, pics etc........but we like it, so what's the harm?

personally i thought it was best when i first joined and folk could pretty much say what they wanted and all that jazz. Now its a bit tighter run and whilst i understand why threads are being moved etc... i dont believe it is necessary on a public internet forum. And if you are worried about space then put on more fundraisers, or delete the oldest threads, or get rid of the arcade which seems to have lost its novelty now (you could always put up links to the games so people could still play) I have no clue how to run the site and im not saying i could do it better but i think things are a little to precise and need to be more relaxed and easy.

basically the new mod was introduced to give an unbiased opinion. It was not a reflection on the ability of the mods i personally chose. I have the integrity to talk to the mods via pm if i have a problem with them, but i dont, they all do their job as best as they can.

So, i appologised if the introduction on femme fatale has complicated things.

Looks like I may be in the minority, but I really like the new changes to the site. A lot of people are using the "if it ain't broke don't fix it!" argument. this is fair enough, but I reckon that the site has to evolve and introduce new things to entice new users as well as keep the old ones.

Its the same old story of can't please all of the people all of the time.

I imagine managing a forum of this size can't be easy and must take up shed loads of KJ's time.

geezus! this is ridiculous,i visit this site often,i find it entertaining listening to peoples opinions on certain subjects and generally comedy,but they moaning on the past couple of days is really getting a tad silly,isn't it?

Things shouldn't be taken so seriously.

Obviously, the site has to be maintained, but if moderation is such a problem, just put in place more moderators. No-one is going to post any more if they're all shit scared they're going to get their arses banned.

Anyway, the division between General Discussion/the Lounge/Bollocks is just too confusing. I think two out of the three would make things a lot simpler.

As for this "Femme Fetale" - she's made this place feel like fucking school. Nobody wants to spend time online on a site where they can't freely express their opinions and not worry about making silly mistakes like posting in the wrong forum.
