User Galleries

Galleries are now available for subscribers to use. Premium members get 2mb disc space and premium plus members get 9mb disc space. Currently you can upload 80k file sizes maximum, though i may change this in the future depending on the success of the galleries.

Regular users (500+ posts) also have a gallery, but get only 1mb of disc space to store images.

At the moment you should only be able to upload to your personal galleries, the other galleries will be for site staff only to post images from gigs and other general events that are relevant site wide.

If you have gig pictures or any other event pictures etc that you would like to see on ugs then you can send them to us and we'll put them onto the galleries for you.

If there are any questions / issues / problems then please use this thread.

ps. depending on what skin you use to view the site there might be some cosmetic problems, but i'm working on this also

i have tried uploading one yet,but it says on the options that i can upload to member or UGS galleries and that i have unlimited space.
error? id like it to be true though

there is a link to the galleries along the top menu. Which skin are you using to view the site btw?

I was curious about this (and also trying to find things to do, so as to put off doing my essay!) so I thought I would change the skin on the site to see if the gallaries link disappears. It appears that you only get the gallery link on the UGS Forums vBulletin 3 skin and none of the others.

Just a note, the UGS logo is currently missing at the top of the gallaries page, well at least it is missing for me anyway

At the top right hand corner of the gallaries screen there should be four links:

home
search
profile
upload photos

If you click on the upload photos link you should then be able to upload photos no problem at all.

Although according to the first post galleries are only available to subscribers so far (I don't know if this means the complete gallery or just the upload function), so if you do not have this link at the top right of the galleries screen this may be the reason. Though that is only a thought as I have not seen a non subscribers galleries screen to confirm this.

the galleries work but the styles are a bit naffed for some reason. uploading is only available to subscribers, but i'm thinking about making it available to reg users with more restrictions

as off now, all users with 500+ posts has a gallery to which they can upload

You dont get as much space as the subscribers but its something at least

So what are you all waitin for? :P
