Sunday 11th December - major upgrade

Hello all,
due to feedback recieve in this thread i have decided to go ahead and conduct the major upgrade of the ugs forum software. All current forums and discussion boards will be unaffected, all user accounts , posts and threads will be retained. This is an essential upgrade for UGS and one that will have a positive impact on the sites ability to deliver a service to all that use it.

The site will be down all day on sunday the 11th december and may run onto monday depending on how smoothly the upgrade goes. i'm extremely excited about this upgrade and it'll help the site get back to its fundamental roots; documenting the local underground music scenes around Scotland.

Once again i'd like to thank all members for their continual support for the site and their understanding and patience during these upgrades.

The new mod stuff is great, editing posts and splitting posts off a thread work a lot better than before

yeah, the site overall works much better than it did before, and its a bit more efficient.
