New post problem

Whenever i post, i cant add smilies or hyperlinks etc etc through the buttons around the bit where you enter the text, they just show up as images it seems and dont do anything, could be a firefox thing?

Just thought someone should know

what browser is it you are using? are you able to see avatars and other images on the site?

Im using firefox, everything else shows up fine, to be fair the images in the new post bit show up too, they just dont do anything! (ie clicking on them doesnt do anthing)

ok it seems to work for me, i dont have firefox at home just now so i'll need to get to a machine that has it installed. Are you able to post without any other issues? this is the only issue you are having just now?

Yeah everything else is fine, it works fine with my iExplorer, so im guessing its a firefix issue

ok i'll test this out when i get back to work and see. my laptop is ancient and i dont have much room on it left to install another browser lol. it's on its last legs

ok i'm using Firefox 1.07 and Netscape and also Mozilla and all seem to be working fine. Maybe it's a cookie issue on your side. Try logging out, clearing your cookies / temp files and then logging back in again and let me know if that worked or if you have it working now.

same thing happening here, none of the controls around the reply box work.

On mouse-over for the top controls, the image doesnt change (should be a blue box around the image under the mouse) but the tool-tip thing does come up.
for the smilies box, mouse pointer stays as pointer (should change to hyperlink pointer) but the tool-tip thing does come up.

Doesn't bother me too much, i usually use quick post.

Firefox 1.0.7
XP SP2

all works fine in Internet Explorer.

i have firefox on my linux installation and it works fine, it must be an option.

i do know that "underline links" in internet explorer's options' tends to do the same thing on certain sites, look for a similar option in firefox (mine doesn't have any) as it may not be firefoxes fault but that of certain links on certain sites.
