ps3

my mate got a ps3 on friday, the thing is huge!

the games he got was resistance, motorstorm, and ridge racer.

ridge racer is fairly pish, its the same old game with better graphics

at first i was a bit iffy with resistance, the first level lacked any real exciting moments, and it didnt look so brilliant on a sdtv. After the first level though, fucking hell! some really good stuff, and its easy to pick up straight away. Weapons seemed interesting and i bet it would look far better on a hdtv

Motorstorm was flangetastic! Not much stuff to do, but a great game all the same!

was fairly impressed with the online features too, considering its just been released. Online multiplayer worked with no problems or slowdown whatsoever, quite a few bits and pieces available to download already too.

still wouldnt pay 425 though!

I picked mine up on Friday - Resistance is quality and the online's even better.

Motorstorm is absolute magic - it's small, but what's there is pure gold. And the online will make it last a lot longer too.

I love the way I can stream anything to my PSP from it, I love the online features and I can't wait for Home and some of the bigger games coming soon.

I would write more about it, but I just want to get back to earning medals on RFoM

if i only i had the money....ah well!

i need to get a new console after punting my ps2, was tempted for a 360 but most people i know with one of them has had problems with it, and it always seemingly happens after the warrantys expired. so theyre left with a £50 bill...

it plays more ps2 games than i expected, only 2 of his 20 odd games didnt work. although the sound was dodgy on one or two.

and the controller is nice!

I'm still laughing at this: UK:RESISTANCE. Not making a difference since 1996

I'll buy one after Sony have had a few more large helpings of humble pie, the blantantly wrong sales figures get nailed in the broadsheets, and the already scheduled £100 price drop comes in. The people who thought they'd make a quick buck on ebay have ended up selling them for less than the high street. That is, if they managed to sell them at all...

I work in currys we had 2 pre orders for a ps3 and one bought on launch day we still have about 8 or 9 available for anyone. This compared to the 360 which sold out on launch day (in our store) and there is a steady stream of people buying them. The Nintendo Wii which i still havent seen, we havent even been able to get one for our instore display because theyre are still people waiting for a Wii (lol) which they pre ordered.

I don't understand why people think the Playstation3 is selling so badly. Sony just managed to supply for the demand. It's still sold more than X360 in opening weekend. It's just that X360 sold 100% of it's 50k units, ps3 sold 75% of 220k units.

noone queued at midnight because they were happy that their pre-order would arrive on time and be fulfilled.

noone is paying £1000 on ebay because thanks to sony, they don't have to.

I'm not a fanboy, just think it's stupid to say that the PS3 is selling badly when it's sold faster than any other main console in the UK (beaten only by the PSP).

i think its rather pointless going on about the sales figures of a console that was released last week when theres only a handful of decent games available.
