playing online we ps3
poped my online gaming cherry lastnight with "rfom" got my ass whipped with no knowledge of any of the maps! second game i came in second in a last man standing game! no bad and was great fun.
Headphones were a big disapointment as can hardly make out what folk are saying.

then played pro evo 6 -ooooooh i need loads of practice got beat 1-0 and 2-0 fae some spanish guy! bastardo!!!!!!!!

Anyone else here playing ps3 online?

I'm online every now an then on RFoM and Motorstorm - crap at motorstorm online though. Tag is "Rebelius" - another big surprise.

Don't have a headset, but online gaming's the way forward.

ive got both of those games, but ive not played much of R6 yet. get a game of resistance tho sometime.

great experience so far tho. bought a £12 bluetooth headset from Argos and it works a gem.

ive played quite a bit of pro evo on live, but nothing else.

The actual online play seems to have less bits and pieces than live, but still has all the major and nessecery functions. Never had any lag or crashes either, which always cropped up during pro evo games.

No Lag anyway, apart from Skate.
All it needs is for Sony to hurry up with it's in game Cross media bar and it will be completly on par with xbox live i reckon.

Looking forward to Home also.

i've got a sony ericsson headset - not had a chance to use it online yet but it seems to synch up really well with the console ...

so aye ok - theres not an official one yet but at least it's got a sony tag on it so i would imagine it would be more compatible than most !.

*just my own wee musings there obviously*

To answer Mr k.js question. Xbox 360 live is still a far superior gaming experience to that of Sonys' marketplace but as the above person mentioned, once sony get their finger out and sort out the cross media bar it will work a gem. Thats the only real thing lacking, ohhhhh and the fact that the marketplace has been taking fucking ages to get decent demos up.
