That's a good point, but I wouldn't think the developers would do that anyway; releasing games on HD DVD. I'm just reading a press announcemnt from MS at the CES show in Las Vegas...

"we have reiterated multiple times since launching the Xbox 360 HD-DVD Player that we have no plans to integrate an HD-DVD player in to the Xbox 360"

"we feel that offering the drive externally is the best way to give consumers the ultimate choice to create their own high-definition experiences."

Basically, what they mean KJ is that even if MS did release a 360 version with a built in HD DVD player, they wouldn't use it for games (like the PS3 does with BluRay) because not every 360 would have the HD DVD player, so it would only be for movies - which isn't really all that great, especially if it's going to lose the format war anyway.

I'm wondering if the PS3's gonna take off in a big way any time soon, Little Big Planet and home have both been pushed back a fair bit and Drake's Fortune seems to be the only really good game that's only on PS3 at the moment. If I didn't have either, I'd probably go for a PS3 right now, but if you've already got a 360, there's not that much persuading you to buy a PS3 as well at the moment, unless you're gonna have a big blu-ray collection and are gonna wait it out for things like LBP.

Still waiting for this.
Im getting fairly impatient. Seemingly they are getting quite close to the open Beta however.

Biiig Setback on this.

Don't expect to see Home this year. The beta will now be released sometime during Late autumn, Early winter.
