Derren Brown: Mind Splattery
Did anyone see his televised "completely live, honest!" russian roulette thang on channel 4 tonight? He guessed the bullet wrong the first time but luckily (or is it unluckily) guessed it right the second time.
Saying that, i was getting rather distressed deep down when he put the gun down after fucking it up the first time. You could feel the fear in his eyes! Whether it was real or not fuck knows! It was one of those things that if it did happen it would change your life (or would change my life) forever, just that awful image of something shooting themselves in the head but for some reason unknown to yourself you have to see it again and again, you become addicted to looking at it. Much like Michael Jackson's nose. Anyone for tea and biscuits? |

No no sorry, i didnt word it very well.
He clicked it until he got to one he thought the bullet was in, tried to shoot it and it wasnt the one with the bullet as he had thought. So he put the gun down and just sat for a few minutes blinking into nothing. Then picked it up again, pointed at his head, it clicked then he turned to the sand bag and the bullet came out. Very very lucky if it was the real deal |

ah i see what you mean. He thought the bullet was in one of the barrels, but infact it wasnt in the one he thought it was, hence it could have been in the chamber. dayum!

Not being a great lover of reality television i was strangely intrigued by this program!
I am still a little unnerved by the whole experience! Also i do think that Brown took a genuine gamble on his ability to predict the outcome of the trial. Maybe i'm just a sucker for good showmanship? |

Hey there sports fans
I think that he did it deliberatly to create more tention & atmos, the way he does everything is amazing, but how he does it, is he's the master of basically reading ppl's face's, like he'll listen to the way he guy says the numbers, on his show he'll describe wot someone's thinking & he does it by the way they express them self when he comes out with it, he said it before, but some stuff is amazing, like how he'll do all that, but then have someone's name printed up on a street wall or somthing Chow Ding |

i wish i saw this. has any1 seen any other of the programs he as done? he is actually quite good. really good at the mind game side of things. i saw this 1 that really freaked me where he had a few peeps in a clearing in the forest.
he got 1 of them to stand quite a bit away from him and told them to shut their eyes. he began sayin all this stuff to them like "imagine you are inside a wall...you can feel your worst fears scraping at the wall..." just building it up like that and u saw his shadow on the person. he kept it goin like "your fears are gettin closer, they are gettin inside the wall..." then finally he sed he was gonna take a brick away from the wall(meanin this persons worst fears could get in) and wen he sed this you saw his arm's shadow makin that sort of movement to suggest he removed a brick and im telling you, the person absolutely screamed. i believe it was absolutely real. he had to tell them to open their eyes and that they were safe to get them to calm down. did any1 else see this? p.s. i was feelin a bit on edge typin this. |

so .. what thingy was the bullet in? i remember him saying two... but didnt notice the fuckup... which was weird cos when he was tellin the guy to put it into the gun, i was thinking .. id put it into number 2.
Hence my belief that he wanted him to put it into two and used his language to subliminally get that point across.. yeah.. or something? |
