Louis Theroux appretiation thread
Without a doubt my Hero.
dunno if anyone has been watching the new episodes but they have been great. The great Micheal Jackson hunt last night was great tv. Micheals homophobic dad was quite funny "what the hell do you mean should Michael have a boyfriend...i can't stand gay people". And when Louis got the Jackson family "friend" to get all emotinal about his loyalty by asking him Michaels whereabouts, only to tell him he knew where Michael was anyway and just wanted to see his reaction, was brilliant. I have both DVDs but want more, more, MORE. Favourite episode from the past has to be "Gangsta Rap" Louis keeping it real with his lyrics. "when im driving in my Fiat, you really oughta see it, im six foot two in a compauq, but thats ok beacause the seats go back" genius. Last edited by My First Kev : 17th November 2003 at 03:36 PM. |

Louis Theroux is class. That Michael Jackson show was well funny.
When he was blabbing on to Joe Jackson then the other guy just goes "so, what was your question?" and louis is just like "ummm" and then Joe fucks off. Saw some of the older series too, but not it all. |

The show last night was good, though it's a shame he never got an interview with Micheal. It was funny when he asked Uri Geller to apologise for giving the interview to bashir
I've seen most of his shows. The one that sticks in my mind the most is the wrestling one, where the coach makes Louis physically sick doing exercises, and doesn't let him stop ![]() |

Ford Templar (that couldn't be his real name could it?) and the Alien resistance movement
I loved the cheapness of his alien gun, that mind probe thing was just a bycical helmet with some tin foil on. |

Louis Meets....The Nazis was really good, if not a bit disturbing. Louis Theroux has to be my favourite journalist/presenter.
The episode that sticks out most in my mind was the one when he trains to be a performer in musicals. He goes to an audition and everyone in the waiting room is warming up and they all have such impressive voices. Then when it's Louis' turn he goes into the room the the producers and does an absolutely feeble, but obviously trying his best, rendition of 'With A Little Help From My Friends'. It was almost like Simon Cowell watched that episode, saw the judges laughing at him and thought what a great TV that could make. Brilliant. |
