I can't watch an episode of star trek without laughing! Especially at the beginning, with the wee monologue bit, cracks me up everytime.
The storylines aren't too bad i guess, but you have to admit it is pretty predictable and therefore boring.

The concepts quite cool, maybe we'll all be in one of the spaceship thingys in the future...

i like star trek but i'm not a big fan of any of the movies though. voyager is probably my favourite series.

....but then the Lord Of The Rings (the book) was around a LONG time before Star Trek.


On topic: DS9 got really good during the last 3 seasons, Voyager has always been cool but I have to say that Enterprise is the one doing it for me the most at the moment.

yeah Enterprise is good what i've seen of it. I don't really watch TV so i will wait til it all comes out on DVD

I love Voyager, not too keen on DS9 though.

and the original series just goes without saying

that's kinda what they're trying to achieve with Enterprise, going for the whole 'epic' thing.

That was the only good thing about DS9, cos it set it apart from the other series. I just didn't enjoy it as much.

I never really got into Enterprise so I stopped watching it. Would any one care to explain to me whats going on with it and why I should watch it?

I kind of thought that with DS9 they were trying to do the same thing as Babylon 5 (also a great series). Not meaning that DS9 wasn't good. I'd agree aswell that it got better in the later series.

I think the original Star Trek is as amusing as it entertaining. Its full of over acting which would usually just seem crap but for some reason it just makes good tv.
