I preferred Dance Dance Dance to Norwegian Wood, but I still really enjoyed both. Dance Dance Dance was more surreal, and Norwegian Wood kind of dwelled on the human condition more. someone pointed out the recurring theme in all his books about chasing after a lost female character, and how the male character is always some kind of unfeeling weakling underneath it all. it kind of hampers my enjoyment now I think about it. still, good books.

Just started reading the Harry Potter books again. (3rd time round?!) I'm half way through 'The Chamber of Secrets'. I've not yet read '...and the Goblet of Fire' hence why I'm reading them all again.

I'm reading 'The Fog' by James Herbert just now. I'm quite enjoying it so far
![]() Oh and I would recommend K-PAX to anyone who has not had the chance to read it yet as it was a really good book and I found it very well written ![]() |

'Nice Cup of Tea and a Sit Down' - Nicey + Wifey
All the information I could ever need about biscuits and their classification. "The Rich Tea itself is not exactly a self-contained one-biscuit flavour festival." |

The Chronicles Of Narnia, I'm up to the 6th book, but I started reading a book called Curvy Lovebox which is meant to make Trainspotting look like Noddy's Tea Party.
It's good so far, but its written in London dialect, which is sometimes hard to grasp the first time you read it. |

Recently (since last time Ive posted here) Ive read (with UGS referrer links to amazon)
Tariq Ali - Bush In Babylon Fantastic history of the colonisation of Iraq Lord Of the Rings Re-re-re-reading these (lost count) currently on book 2. Also read recently Farmer Giles Of Ham which was a fun kiddies book After that I have sitting waiting The Silmarillion , Smith Of Wootton Major which also has 2 other stories books in it (the early version fo a three book in one set I have) and Sauron defeated damn me for gutting my room and finding lots of fantasy stuff I have ![]() John Maclean by Nan Milton life story of John Maclean through the eyes of his daughter. Devils Chaplain by Richard Dawkins which is a collection of short stories. Meme Machine by Susan blackmore which is an introduction to the theory of Memetics. My pile of "to read" books is still huge but on my most current to do list are: Two Towers for bedtime reading Extended Phenotype Richard Dawkins best work according to Dawkins. Had it for a while and found his other stuff easier to plough through. Accountable to None: Tory nationalisation of Britain picked up for 2.50 in Oxfam. It was written 10 years ago before PFI was really about so should be interesting to see what predictions were made. |
