they done stuff like that in the third series a lot too, like peoples entire personalities would change to fit the plot, but yeah, it's still all right, the original cast made it though & it'll never be as good

I doubt it was ever in the actual programme as no-one seems to recall it. However, I don't remember what *did* happen at the end of the last series, despite watching every episode and really enjoying it. I noticed that the dates on their gravestones said that they had died at the end of July, so maybe that was supposed to be in school holidays or at least when it wasn't on TV?
