I was forced to watch this when it was on the first time round by my g/f and i have to say after a few episodes i found it not too bad and some bits were funny. But now that they are showing the whole lot again it just really annoys me. I hate how at the end the horsie lookin one (carrie?) always spouts something "meaningful" that shes learned from events that episode.
I caught the end the other night and she was spouting some pish about shoes and then trying to relate her relationships to a pair of designer shoes. Pish. utter pish.

I don't understand you girls.

I'm not entirely sure how you can relate to this programme. The characters in this programme are cunts. I've only watched it a few times but I got "be successful or be nothing" & "sleep with whoever you want, regardless of the consequences" from it.

Mabye I am missing the point.

Also, as someone else said - the narration, summing up the bit at the end, is just cringeworthy.

Band Of Gold was the best programme ever made...ever.ever.
They show this on UK Gold I think.
It makes good viewing the 2nd time round as I must have been about 7 or 8 the first time I watched it.

yes, but society in general never really portrays this part of a womans life, does it? its very well saying "yes, i think that its okay to be this way etc" but to be a general acceptance in society it has to be a mainstream acknowledgment.
