Jamie's School Dinners
I just watched most of Jamie's School Dinners on Channel 4, and I was utterly shocked. To think some children grow up not knowing what most vegetables are, eating mostly processed food and refusing to even try fresh food is disgusting...
No way is any child of mine growing up like that! |

Yeah I saw that. It was pretty shocking. Had that boy really never tasted fresh chicken? Or was he just being an ass...I couldn't tell.
Jamie Oliver holds up some rhubarb: JO - 'okay kids, who can tell me what this is?' child - 'onion?' |

yeah, it's not really their fault though. if you'd never been taught, or given the idea to explore, you wouldn't sit at home and think "hey, i'm gonna do some research into some vegetables"
we're lucky. |

the ad for next week's had him trying to get a kid to try something.
He offers him a pound. No 2pound. no 5pound. no 10pound. no 20pound. no 50pound. no that's ignorance, not cos he wasn't "taught, or given the idea to explore,". |

Jamie aint too shmert himself. Hes trying to get the kids to eat fruit and veg, and what does he give them.........GOOSEBERRIES!
"Thankyou Jamie for my tongue ulser. I shall never eat fruit again" I never had a fuss with vegetables. But thats because my mum used to feed me all the sweet and mushy ones like turnips before the really green tasting stuff. |

How much did u want to punch that guy who's like "chocolate, chocolate chocolate" fucking poor excuse of a kid! I have a lot of respect for jamie oliver and what he's doing. it's about time someone went forward and did something about the state of the food being dished out!!

I would have a lot of respect for Jamie Oliver and everything he's doing, if he didn't say 'I'm doing this out of my own pocket. I'm not getting paid for this. Nobody asked me to do this' at every opportunity.
He seems to think of himself as 'the cook who will save Great Britain's youth'. Actually, he probably doesn't at all, but I get that vibe. |
