The turkish delight in the BBC video always looked so sweet and tasty and tempting.

And if The Works doesn't have the boxset anymore, Waterstones are doing a 3 for 2 on the Narnia books.

I always thought the ending was like Narnia was some big giant heaven where everything was all magical and lovely.

wasnt it all just based on certain bits of the bible? thats what i heard anyway, the first book 'The Magicians Nephew' is very similar in places to the Genesis story in the bible. but anyway yeah i'll be going to see this, i still have all the books and the bbc dvd's!

Yup it's got all the word of God stuff and Aslan as the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. I'm sure there must be tons of stuff that I don't get as well...

Did you read the Magicians Nephew first? I imagine that woulda spoilt quite a lot for me. It was the sixth one written. I read 'em in the order they were written. YEARS ago.

I'll probably go and see this at xmas time though

Yeah same here. Loads people think that the Magicians Nephew is actually the first one so some boxsets now have that as the first one for people to read. I read them all the in order I was supposed to.

yeah i read that one first. when i was young i got them all bought for me one year and i read them in the order they were packaged. ive never thought to look at when they were written to be honest so i just assumed it was the first one

i'm looking forward to seeing this too. Not been much hype for it though. I loved the book series and i wonder how faithful the movie(s) will be.
