Red Dwarf
It has to be said that this is probably one of the best comedy series ever! I was up at Shimoda's pad and he has the first 4 series on dvd. We slammed them on and I was in stitches for the duration. I love it so much I just went and figured out the theme music on the guitar. Any other smeg heads out there?

red dwarf is definately my favourite. i've had series' 1, 2, 3 and 5 for a while but finally bought 4 last week. i had totally forgotten that some of the episodes on that are amongst my favourites. like camille (smeeee heeee) and dna.
some other favourites being: confidence and paranoia, back to reality, backwards, better than life, gunmen of the apocalypse, quarantine
series 6 is out on dvd, but i can only find it on www.play.com

i love red dwarf. got series 1-6, infact i once watched them in a huge marathon once. a great weekend.

This may sound a bit sad and geeky BUT

One of my most content moment in life was when I was about 13 and was off school for a week. At first I was actually ill but by the end of the week I was totally faking it. In this time I watched all 12 of my Red Dwarf tapes, series 1-6. Usually one tape in the morning and one after lunch, but I musta slipped in an extra video on a couple of days.

Bloody wonderful week that was

I highly recommend teh Red Dwarf books. I have read Backwards and Better Than Life - they contain pretty much all the stuff from the episodes plus loadsa shit that links them all together in a different way.

Because there's a sort of narration there are so many more opporunities for good jokes that aren't being said by any of the characters.

Superb.
