Arrested Development

Anyone else a fan of this show? I've just finished watching the 1st season on DVD, and I have to say it's the best american comedy show i've seen since 'Curb Your Enthusiasm'. Each episode is constructed brilliantly and the cast is great. If you haven't seen it already, I thoroughly recommend it.

It started a couple of years back. The 3rd season is just about to start in America.

I keep on catching this on BBC4. i think it's excellent! Really sharp and funny and subversive. Surely this is the kinda show us Brits should be making?!

And any show with "Hey Now!" Hank Kingsley in the cast is already onto a winner in my book.

Jason Bateman who plays the main character in this show was the star of Teen Wolf 2. Also, Henry 'The Fonz' Winkler is superb in it.

cool... i've just seen episodes from series 2, which means i've got the entire first series to watch! early addition the the christmas list i think. Got the feeling this could become one of my favourite shows. I'd imagine it'd be like the Simpsons and there'll be loads of things you don't notice on first viewing.

favourite moment so far "I'm... Gene Parmesan!"

well it looks like the inevitable has happened for something this funny and original and brilliantly written, acted and directed.

FOX HAS AXED IT!!! First Futurama, now this.... you anger me you evil network!

I kinda hope that it might get picked up by another network due to the loyal 4 million or so yanks that watch it, the blanket critical acclaim and the DVD sales. you never know... fingers crossed

Aye, I read this earlier, it's a real shame. 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' only gets around 5 million viewers in the states, but HBO is happy keep that going; it would be cool if they picked up AD.

if you want to see the real evil of the Fox Media Empire watch Outfoxed:Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism.
Im sure you can pick it up in HMV for about a tenner now but its worth it. It unveils Fox News as a right wing, politically motivated channel that bullies left minded individuals into submission and have a stranglehold on, not only the public, but also other news stations and the government as well.

Yeah...if only i could persuade you enough to watch more seinfeld. You're sorely missing out on one of America's finest sitcoms, and see the starting routes of Larry David's career as a sitcom writer. They get better and better as the seasons go on.
