I used to be a great fan of the Two Ronnies when it was on the TV years ago when i was a kid, the two of them were my fav comedians along with Norman Wisdom. I didnt watch Porridge at all though but the Two Ronnies i always watched. ![]()

the two ronnies were just masters of the english language, sometimes a bit controvesial, sometimes a bit saucy, but always funny.
it was great to see him come out of reclusion recently for one last run with corbet. truly a sad loss to comedy. |

I loved watching The Two Ronnies and Porridge, but I particularly liked Open All Hours. It’s still funny even though I can remember exactly what the characters are going to say.
His books were great too -I used to occasionally sneak a look at my dad’s copies of Sauce, Gentleman’s Relish, The Ladies of Paris etc. Cheeky, fun and very clever. |
