Anyone watching Planet Earth? I'm not a fan of the television license but these documentaries make it worth it in my opinion. It's on tonight at 9pm.

Yeah it's stunning, moving and beautiful television. I commented after the first week's show on the absurdity of BBC programming that they can go from cheap, derivitive crap such as "The Two of Us", to life-affirming and important television such as Planet Earth in a matter of minutes.

But yeah, David Attenbourgh and the production team are worth the license fee alone.

I didn't really get it, It's about "planet earth as we've never seen it" but last week it was on the snow leopard and birds?

whats not to get? the snow leopard has never been filmed in such a way before, therefore we have never seen it. these things are of planet earth, like everything else on the programme.

i have enjoyed the past two episodes, hopefully it will come out on dvd once the series is over. It's the best documentary I have every watched.

I think its fantastic. My favorite scene so for was in the first episode 'pole to pole' when they slow down a shark breach and show exactly how a Great White breaches. the fucking thing was 5 metres in the air!!!

anyone see 2nites one? was one of the best yet IMO, amazing crystal formations and some strange animals and insects, i couldnt last 5 minutes in that bat cave never mind 1 month with all those cockroaches and other insects :-S
