The League Of Gentlemen Appreciation Thread
What a show! I was lucky enought to recieve the boxset at xmas and it has been a mainstay on my DVD player since. This is a thread for anyone else who appreciates the Royston Vasey dwellers.

The third series might have been the best. I like how ballsy it is to completely change the format and still have it work for the characters. Amazing!

The absence of a laughter track on the third series really brings out the darkness of the show.

i quite liked it. not a patch on the series but still enjoyable.

Series 1 was my favourite. Probably because Tubbs and Edward are my favourite characters and that series is very much theirs.

I thought the concept of the movie was really good, what with all the mad metafiction and whatnot it was excellent to see a tv-to-movie that wasn't just an extended episode. Too bad it wasn't that funny and I had already lost interest in them to a certain extent. I still think the best thing they did was the Halloween special, which is made even better if you know hammer horror etc...
