And where else do you get to see giant dragons say 'oh, dude. weak, dude' Seriously, Matt Stone and Trey Parker are two of the most intelligent comics of this generation. If you think its immature, you're missing the whole point. Shit is funny. Farting is funny. Controversial statement of the day: South Park rips the Simpsons. |

Well ok, i guess you're entitled to your opinion, although capitalising the IS in you original point isn't gonna make me think its any less pish. Personally i love the show. I think its one of the most intelligent comedy programmes around, i a weird kind of way. I've seen just about every episode and they are funnier than 99% of anything currently getting made over here (witness Coupling, Babes in the Wood and just about every other bbc sitcom since Bottom). It's not standard american stuff, they make jokes and raise issuse you'd never see on anything else, US or UK. The reason they can do this is because they are already pigeonholed as 'kiddie shit', so people take what they have to say less seriously. Unless you love the show.

No Dougall, these cows are small....the ones out there are far away........
Genius. Father Ted got my vote over Bottom, I've only seem some of Red Dwarf and it was quite good but not as good as Ted or Bottom. Me Mark and Steven even went to see Bottom live when it was here, a fun night was had by all. Like mark said some of the Improv is great. And who remember the Classic Father Ted witht he priests stuck in the Underwear shop, absolutely brilliant. Anyway I've never seen the Young ONes I must admit. I should probably research it a bit. |
