I don't think the statement is entirely accurate. If it were, then evolution would have sorted us out long before now. It's good that way. Mistakes are sorted out pretty quick, but if it works, and survives, it's left as is.

i'll second the motion that this argument has been covered before, i've been through this more than once with my sister, whose views on the subject i imagine to be at least and most likely more informed than any i will encounter here. heres my conclusion: the quote above is a misrepresentation of the facts. male and female chromosomes are different, but that doesn't imply superiority.
