The Ska Appreciation Thread!
it had to be done. Please, come one, come all! (except those who don't like ska) to talk about the joys of ska, and more importantly, tell me where to find some ska in this silly emo/hadcore-obsessed town! :P not that i have anything against emo or hardcore... but as with most other musical genres, and slap if this is being too obvious for you, but it's JUST NOT SKA!
i guess if i can't find any ska then there's only one other solution - form a ska band! but for that I need other ska-types, so anyway, come and enjoy the orgasmic (whatever blows your trumpet...) experience that is my ska appreciation thread! |

dear god no, ska crossed with emo?
Do you mean reel big fish crossed with funeral for a friend? or the skatalites crossed with rites of spring? |

I like real ska, and the other ska. I wouldn't buy a ska record but there's nothing better than a live ska band. in recent years, I have enjoyed the Mad Caddies, the Voodoo Glow Skulls, and most recently, the Supatones a great deal. 'mon the ska!
