hilltown fm may start running again. i've been offered a slot in which I decide what gets played so it could be dedicated to independant and unsigned bands. the show will last 2-4 hours

i was doing the knucklehedz rock show. All bobby kept doing was picking mainstream pish like metallica but i kept playing the most obscure songs like buju bantons "misty days" and murderdolls "i love to say fuck" (witch went unedited live on air)
My brother lee who takes most interest in this is joining the commity with them hopefully and we'll see some good things for the future airplay of unsigned acts.

oh aye, and for the record....it should be on air in march.

I never listen to the radio but if a show like that was on i reckon i would tune in to hear what stuff is getting played.

i agree with the idea 100% being in a ugs band, but here is a good point what if all these people who want to hear local bands on radio actually went to the gigs?? fair enough radio play advertises bands, but if people dont go in the first place bands wont get known anyway. Moral of the story, go to more local gigs and get more noise around the scene. p.s. i have mailed aswell

i just found out yesterday, i'm gettin roughly 3 hours a week for one month in which i can play what i want. so i'm gonna do a john peelesque anything goes show with local and independant acts so send me your stuff and i'll play it.
