its just the classic way, nostalgia and all that. plus more songs fit on 90 minute tapes. most cdr`s are 70 - 80 mins.

make a mix tape and give it to your loved one

Tapes take longer to make, hence more sentiment.

Its like the difference between making a card for someone and buying one from a shop.

You have to think about every song you put on a mixtape. Which one will go well after this one. You have to sit there & make it for the 60/90 minutes, & if you change your mind about a song you can go back & record over it.

You usually just chuck some songs in any old order & throw it onto a disk when making a CD. It's rubbish, but I do it if I'm in a rush.

ive had this argument before - its coz if its a tape theres less want to go to the trouble fast forwarding, thus listening to the other persons efforts, where as a cd you can skip easily. i got 3 lovely cds once

i didnt skip through any of them though : )
